The Three

If there is no such thing as the Trinity, and if God really exists in different modes (not persons), how can one explain Matthew 3: 16-17?

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 3:16-17 ESV

God has to be 3 persons; otherwise, the above would be illogical. To say that sometimes God is the Son, sometimes He is the Father, and sometimes He is the Holy Spirit does not only a great disservice to God, but it’s very irreverent as well as heretical, and shows that the one making that statement cannot really believe in the Bible as the Bible has MANY examples that show “God in 3 persons, Blessed Trinity”.

Just a thought as I read God’s Word. Praise Him for the grace to understand. He is so merciful.
